Methodology

This page explains how a Macro Insight Daily post gets made — what we select, what we filter out, and where a human decides. It is the information you need to judge whether to trust this publication.

Publishing Pipeline

From nightly collection to next-day publication approval, every post goes through the same stages.

  1. 1. Collection

Each day we collect from global financial media, wire services, and central bank press feeds. Articles whose full text cannot be obtained — due to paywalls or access restrictions — are excluded rather than substituted with summaries.

  2. 2. Classification

Collected articles are classified across the six STEEPS domains (Social, Technology, Ecology, Economy, Politics, Values), filtering out noise irrelevant to investment judgment.

  3. 3. Fact Extraction

Opinion patterns — speculation, evaluation, sentiment — are stripped from each article, leaving only verifiable facts. Extraction passes a two-stage cross-verification with separated roles, and every fact carries its original source.

  4. 4. Drafting

Drafts are composed from the extracted facts. Writing and verification are performed by separate roles, preventing the structural failure of a writer verifying its own work.

  5. 5. Automated Checks

Before publication, deterministic tools mechanically validate source URL integrity, the alignment between body text and underlying facts, and document formatting. These are pass/fail checks, not judgment calls.

  6. 6. Editor Approval

Every post is created as a private draft. Editor Jahun Koo personally reviews and approves each one before it goes live. The production site never serves a post still in draft.

Source Policy

  • Every fact in the daily briefs links to the article it was extracted from. Content that cannot be sourced is not published.
  • Expert forecasts and opinions are kept distinct from facts, and are labeled as opinion when quoted.
  • Only articles with full original text are used. Facts are never extracted from summaries or previews.

AI Disclosure

Collection, classification, extraction, drafting, and automated checks are performed by an AI-assisted pipeline; the decision to publish is made by a human. Keeping that line clear is a principle of Macro Insight Daily.
